Entertaining Angelsdirected by David Lawson LeanWEDNESDAY 3RD - SATURDAY 6TH OCTOBER 2018
Set in a classic English vicarage garden, the play is filled with sharp-edged comedy and probing wit. Clergy wife, Grace, has spent a lifetime on best behaviour providing tea and quiche for the parish. Now, following the death of her husband Bardolph, she is enjoying her new-found freedom being able to do and say exactly as she pleases. However, her eccentric missionary sister, Ruth, returns with some disturbing revelations forcing Grace to confront the truth about her marriage. At the same time Sarah reveals some un-clergy-like credentials of her own to Grace's therapist daughter Jo. We are delighted to welcome the talented and very experienced director David Lawson Lean to The Barn along with a fabulous cast that includes recent directors Karen Holley (Glorious!) and Mandy Witt (Made in Dagenham) along with one of our most loved actors Glen Kirton, Lisa Mills (recently returned to The Barn) and new acting member Louise Elliker.
Following 'Glorious’ and 'Made in Dagenham’ Richard Everett's hilarious comedy 'Entertaining Angels’ is sure to be another Barn hit.
